We currently have a vacancy for an AI & Automation Technologist at our site in New Malden.
As an AI & Automation Technologist, you will support the Artificial Intelligence & Automation PV and associated research programmes in exploring new technologies to influence and guide future Naval Ships Combat Systems products.
The role will involve researching, implementing, testing and demonstrating AI & Automation algorithms and technology.
This role will provide you with exposure to new technology that may open doors throughout the wider BAE business.
Your main responsibilities as an AI & Automation Technologist will involve :
Contributing to the design of the Machine Learning process toolset choices, databases, parallelisation methods
Developing requirements for AI Applications and Algorithms
Training AI Algorithms using Reinforcement Learning and other techniques
Contributing to studies on existing and future AI-related products and product enhancements
Integrating AI Applications and Algorithms with Open Architecture Combat Systems
Developing User Interfaces for AI applications that provide trusted, reliable advice
Your skills and qualifications :
A strong higher degree in a mathematical, scientific, engineering or computer science discipline
Ability to apply contemporary artificial intelligence techniques, particularly deep learning methodologies
Familiarity with deep learning toolsets such as TensorFlow
Strong software skills, particularly agile methodologies - knowledge of Python preferred
Familiarity with techniques for simulation and synthetic environments

Location : New Malden preferred, but will consider any Southern site
