What are we looking for?

Chubb Fire Systems are now seeking a General Manager with responsibility for meeting short-term business objectives whilst achieving long-

term growth and increased levels of customer satisfaction. You will deliver continuous improvement in all business unit related activities year after year, and ensure that under strong leadership employees are developed to their full potential.

With responsibility for the South Coast covering our branches in Southampton, Thames Valley and Maidstone.

Day to day responsibilities will include :

  • Ensure the business unit achieves both short term (monthly) and long term revenue growth targets both organically and acquisitively
  • Ensure the service portfolio increases year on year for all core revenue streams
  • Accountability for business unit stock levels, working with central shared services and the need for availability and forthcoming installations, whilst ensuring excess stock levels are avoided
  • Enhance the talent in the business unit by recruitment and development of staff, and effective performance management system
  • Improve productivity through a clear focus on sold margins, accuracy of estimation, net recovered margin, and engineer productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure service levels meet all contractual and regulatory standards especially inspection performance and response times
  • Required Experience

  • Proven track record of delivering results with full P L responsibility
  • Proven track record of operating at a senior level
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and manage, motivate and develop individual multi-skills team members
  • Experience of delivering quantifiable results in a matrix management organisation
  • Commercially astute ideally with a background in the fire industry

    Ideal commutable locations may include Southampton, Fareham, Eastleigh, Portsmouth, Winchester,

    Basingstoke, Newbury, Reading, Maidstone, Eastbourne, Chichester or other nearby towns / villages.
