Job Description

We’re changing how people think about health and care. We have passion for new ideas that are changing the world by the minute.

Cerner has been improving health care IT for more than 30 years. We strive to deliver value in all we do, and support organisations to deliver the quadruple aim of healthcare.

Our technology supports health care systems, hospitals, GPs and community services to be the best they can be and to deliver connected, safe care.

We’re leading the industry on enabling the shift from reactive care, to proactive population health management through big data intelligence.

We offer the opportunity to be a key member of an established Sales team driving the continued success of Cerner in the delivery of healthcare technology.

Harnessing the value of data and technology to improve safety and efficiency, your writing will describe the engagement of health and care providers in the delivery of care within hospitals and across broader communities.

You will be a key member of an established and high performing team comprising sales, product, technical and marketing experts that collectively provide the most effective and targeted responses to high value and high complexity written and presented bid responses.

  • As a Lead Technical Writer, your main objective will be to ensure Cerner’s solutions are described and expressed in a compelling manner and consistent voice in the completion of documentation created by Cerner in response to public sector procurements, RFIs and RFPs;
  • primarily in the UK &Ireland, but occasionally in other global markets. You will be responsible for articulating Cerner’s offers in a clear voice, one that our future clients will find convincing and credible.

    Your written content will reflect an understanding of the aims, objectives and needs of the prospect client and engage them with succinct and carefully chosen language that articulates the value of Cerner’s proposed offerings.

    It should create a consistent narrative across content that may draw from multiple stakeholders within Cerner’s business.

    Written responses should always recognise the value that Cerner’s clients have realised through use of Cerner products and services, drawing upon contemporary and relevant case studies and content where appropriate.

    As a Lead Technical Writer you will gain a quick understanding of the client’s vision, goals and motivations underpinning any procurement exercise through a thorough review of the bid documentation.

    You will establish effective relationships with internal stakeholders in providing content and knowledge for a bid from the bid management team, the sales leaders and the subject matter experts within Cerner.

    You will be creating concise, honest, consistent and engaging content in a Cerner voice; including adherence and improvements to Cerner’s in-house style guidance and ensure that each proposal question is dissected, understood and fully responded to, taking into account the client specification and corresponding Cerner capabilities.
