who will be responsible for identifying and securing new orders. This is a challenging and exciting role allowing the successful applicant to help shape the sales strategy of the team and drive business growth.

The BDM will be able to work independently to originate and qualify opportunities, lead the sales process until contract completion and be the team’s internal and external sales champion.

The role will report into the Head of Energy Performance and be responsible for :

  • Developing a new sales strategy for the team targeting the private sector market
  • Relationship building and liaison with customers, channel partners and framework providers
  • Originating, qualifying and securing new opportunities, working closely with the team’s engineering, commercial and project management resources
  • Assisting in major bids working closely with the team’s Senior Bid Manager
  • Representing the team in bidders’ meetings, client meetings and industry events
  • Developing a marketing strategy
  • Your Skills and Experience :

    The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in the ESCO / EPC sector and good working knowledge of the energy efficiency industry is preferable but not essential.

    You should have a track record in identifying and securing private sector opportunities and a solid understanding of energy efficiency and low carbon generation technologies (e.

    g. LED lighting, BMS, HVAC, CHPs). In addition you’ll have excellent verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills; excellent writing skills, strong MS Office experience and the ability to develop professional sales proposals.

    A relevant university degree will be preferable but not essential
