We’re looking for unique individuals to support and enrich the lives of the people we support.

We are Sense, a high quality care service in Knapwell who are passionate about supporting adults with complex needs, including sensory losses and learning disabilities.

We’re seeking to recruit some great new support workers to join our relief team covering a variety of shifts and hours. We are looking for people with the right values and behaviours to work in our Sense College at Sense Centre in Knapwell could this be you?

Sense Centre Knapwell is located in Knapwell village, approximately 10 miles outside of Cambridge, and similar distance from Huntingdon, St Neots and St Ives.

We are not covered by a public transport route, so it essential that applicants have alternative means of travel.

As a Support Worker you will be working with young adults with complex communication needs and associated learning difficulties and physical disabilities, providing support to achieve Every Day Living outcomes.

You will make the day to day the best it can possibly be for both you and the people you will support. The people you support are active and adventurous individuals, you will need to come up with ideas and solutions to make the most out of every day.

You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker.

The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The people we support are individuals and they all treated as such.

However, as a general guide, once restrictions are lifted you can expect to go cycling, horse riding, music sessions, hydro, walking, events, safari parks, places of interest, café’s, public houses, meals out, picnics, day trips and holidays etc.
