    About this role

    BT has invested in a number of industry leading sales tools & systems to enable sales productivity through efficient and effective selling activities.

    The vision of the sales tools & systems team is to provide the strategy and governance for Enterprise sales tools & systems (including data within the sales tools & systems), enabling sales to sell efficiently & effectively.

    This is achieved through performing the capture, identification, design & delivery management, optimization, and governance of process capabilities (and data) within sales tools & systems categorized as systems of record, systems of engagement, and systems of intelligence (analysis & insight).

    Sales tools & systems include salesforce, CPQ, UKB / Agent Desktop, Partner Gateway, etc.The purpose of the Sales Tools Governance Reporting Professional is to structure and manage the capture & prioritization of demand into design & delivery for backlog and roadmap planning of process capabilities deployed within sales tools & systems for Enterprise channels.

    The role also manages and performs status communications to requestors, stakeholders, user groups, and L&D (for the transfer of knowledge of capabilities within sales tools & systems).

    You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Recommends governance standards for demand, design, and delivery and manages the demand, design, and delivery backlog for deployment planning.
  • Ensures adherence to governance standards for demand, design, and delivery.
  • Creating and maintaining the deployment roadmap of process capabilities within sales tools & systems.
  • Publishing the deployment roadmap and status communication of process capabilities within sales tools & systems to requestors, stakeholders, and user groups.
  • Facilitates agreements within governance forums.
  • Engages with stakeholders and delivery partners.
  • Working closely with sales tools & systems work-streams (requirements, design, optimization & innovation, deployment and in-life operations ensuring smooth change management process.
  • You'll have the following skills & experience

  • Thorough knowledge of ITIL, demand & delivery models and software delivery lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of the commercial sales productivity drivers (revenue, margin, cost of sale, cost to serve), and the efficiency and effectiveness levers which influence sales force productivity.
  • Understand and ability to articulate the lead-to-order process journey’s (New / Provide, Modify, Re-Sign), lead-to-order process capabilities (i.
  • e. Territory Management, Lead Generation, Lead Management, Contact Management, Account Management, Opportunity Management, Configure-Price-Quote, Contract Management, Activity Management, Forecasting, Order Management) and data components which enable lead-to-order process capabilities.

  • Proven background in offering expert advice on subject expertise, building rapport with stakeholders and being considered as a trusted advisor.
  • Experience of using complex data analysis to show underlying principles, process or systems improvements.
  • Background in partnering with the business, and other organisations, to develop understanding of new technologies and they're use.
  • Ideally, you’ll have ITIL Foundation v3 / 4 and a Project Management qualification (preferably Agile).
  • Fundamental knowledge of BT Enterprise architecture would be beneficial.
