This is an exciting opportunity to join as our Supply Chain Director for the UK and Ireland.

Within our UKI business Head Quarters in Milton Keynes, you will lead the Country Supply Chain team looking after supply chain planning, transportation and warehousing.

The role will cover the key areas of supply chain planning, including demand planning, production planning, distribution planning, inventory planning and S&OP.

What you will be responsible for :

  • Outbound and intersite transportation, managing existing transportation providers and onboarding new providers to drive service and cost improvements
  • Re-tendering of 3rd party contractual relationships with the objectives of driving out cost and Country warehousing, managing 3rd party providers and collaborating with plant logistics teams to improve the effectiveness of warehouse operations, including inventory management
  • Partnering with the regional and country leadership team, aligning across major functional areas including sales, marketing, operations, procurement, finance and IT
  • Assessing current supply chain processes, identify gaps and implement changes that align with BMI’s overall approach and strategy
  • Country supply chain performance across planning, transportation and warehousing
  • Delivering sustained improvements in supply chain service and cost
  • Collaborating across functional areas to deliver value through the supply chain while aligning with the overall BMI objectives
  • Creating a performance-driven culture supported by supply chain KPIs and metrics
  • What you can bring :

  • Proven experience in high volume manufacturing, distribution, production planning, logistics and / or transportation environment
  • Advanced supply chain planning knowledge
  • Advanced transportation and warehousing knowledge
  • Experience of running contractual re-tendering from the definition of requirements to contract implementation
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP and supply chain planning systems
  • Strong knowledge of Transportation (TMS) and Warehousing (WMS) systems
  • Proficiency in use of business intelligence software (i.e. Qlikview, Power BI, SAP BI)
  • Advanced analytics and problem-solving skills
  • A dynamic personality with the ability to drive change and be an action-oriented team player
  • Able to balance the need to focus on the big picture and be able to dive into the detail
  • Ability to build strategic working relationships and collaborate effectively
