Why this role matters
Service Platforms (SP) manages c£620m of annual investments. It oversees more than 30 million mobile customers, over 10 million broadband and voice customers and the delivery of 95% of the UK TV broadcast market.
We are a workforce of over 2,500 members of staff as well as 4,000 or so partners.
BT is made up of a central Group function, together with our Customer Facing Units (CFUs); Enterprise, Consumer and Global Services with BT Technology working across all these areas : designing, delivering and operating all of BT’s internal and external products and services.
Transformation is part of the SP business unit that sits within BT Technology. We specialise in developing, managing and delivering transformation programme initiatives.
Working with workstream leads and matrix teams across SP and pan-BT, we develop the overall transformation programme roadmap and deliver measurable benefits to our people, our customers and to BT.
The role will be accountable for :
Creating and delivering the transformation programme plan : leading a strategic 3 - 5 year roadmap of change, including defining the objectives, resources, governance and plans required to deliver change initiatives.
Own a portfolio of change initiatives : Securing the delivery of transformation programme outcomes and benefits by developing, managing and prioritising initiatives that meets the business ambition.
Work in and drive cross functional and strategic change activity across the business : bringing about an agile and collaborative culture through team experimentation, innovation and challenging people to think about problems in new ways.
What you'll be doing
Manage transformation programme plans : Lead own workstreams and collaborate with other leads to develop the overall transformation programme plan including key milestones and dependencies, identifying and managing risks effectively.
Governance : Set-up governance and ways of working for the transformation team to plan and track the programme and individual initiatives.
Manage & scope initiatives : Manage a portfolio of initiatives using agile methodologies to plan and monitor against objectives and key results.
Monitoring and reporting : Track the success of change initiatives and timely delivery of value, recognising when to pivot and change course if results are not being realised.
Lead the change : Work in pan-BT cross-functional teams to deliver initiatives and embed changes within the business.
