A new and exciting opportunity for the position of Regional Account Manager within BD Integrated Diagnostic Solutions has arisen.

Focusing on our end-to-end diagnostic solutions portfolio, you will be responsible for selling a range of solutions and products across the NHS and Pathology Networks.

Field Based covering : South West and Wales

Job Description

Competitive salary + 35% OTE (uncapped), Company Car + strong benefits package

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the South West and Wales Region and have the following key accountabilities :

  • To achieve the annually agreed sales objectives and growth within the region.
  • To drive growth through the use of BD Way of Selling by incorporating Customer Centricity and CRM into daily activities.
  • To develop, monitor and drive account plans and the sales strategy across the region.
  • Developing strategic partnerships as NHSI Pathology networks develop.
  • Work closely with Managed Service Providers across your region.
  • Work closely with senior leaders and partners within the territory up to and including C-suite.
  • Manage complex multi-account agreements.
  • To provide pre and post-conversion support to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with technical, apps, marketing and other BD colleagues.
  • To perform a continual review of metrics, sales data and build in insights in order to recommend and make appropriate market changes to drive product growth.
  • To successfully plan and convert diagnostic solution opportunities.
  • About you

    With a science background ideally with lab experience in microbiology and a min of 1-2 years healthcare sales experience in diagnostics and capital equipment , you will have a strong knowledge of the NHS and Pathology market .

    You will have a hunger and drive to develop new business as well as the ability to maintain long term relationships with key accounts.

    The successful applicant will demonstrate the following key competencies :

  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to recognize and seize business opportunities and proactively look for opportunities through initiative and creativity
  • Commercially aware with a strong financial competence and strong negotiation skills
  • The successful candidate must live on or close to territory and be comfortable with regular travel across the region.
