UK Accounting team member ensuring FRS 101 compliance to support dividend, tax and real-time statutory reporting and delivery of the UK’s Annual Report and Accounts to Companies House for 8 legal entities.

Manage the UK Treasury operations, managing day-to-day back office activities, working closely with Corporate Treasury and ensuring compliance with Westinghouse’s treasury policies.

Develop and implement system / process improvements to provide a more efficient and effective delivery of overall financial services, seeking to eliminate non-value added activities and alignment to Westinghouse Global policies.

Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority) :

Manage treasury back office duties specifically responsible for :

  • Daily bank reporting and input bank journals into SAP including supporting documentation;
  • Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations and reporting in Blackline;
  • Manage the UK legal entity cash two year cash forecasts for 4 legal entities and perform variance analysis reconciliations;
  • Lead UK loan requirements and prepare loan documentation;
  • Prepare monthly foreign currency forecasts for three legal entities;
  • Maintain bank account and bank systems records, developing good working relationships with UK banks including opening new bank accounts and closing bank accounts as required;
  • Co-ordinate UK debt compliance reviews;
  • Lead the annual UK Foreign Bank Account Review;
  • Complete monthly book to bank reports;
  • Support Treasury projects as determined by Corporate Treasury, for example implementation of a cash pooling arrangement.
  • Accounting lead for Springfields Segregated Assets Limited (SSAL) and supporting the group and statutory audit of other UK companies including but not limited to :

  • Produce statutory Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reconciliations including lead sheet creation and maintenance
  • Prepare Annual Report and Financial Statements and compiling audit support information;
  • Monthly Trial Balance Feed reporting in SAP on a US GAAP basis;
  • Managing SSAL invoice requests and arranging payment;
  • Supporting Projects as required with the management of the SSAL decommissioning fund.
  • Accounting on a US GAAP basis for various legal entities, specifically responsible for :

  • Payroll journals and reporting;
  • Accruals journals and supporting documentation;
  • Process owner for SOX processes, including preparation of management reviews for Flux reporting and accruals, maintaining SOX compliance;
  • SAP and SAGE journal input, including supporting documentation;
  • Derivative Financial Instrument reporting;
  • MM Stock reporting and reconciliations;
  • UK Transfer Pricing payment review and check;
  • Support the team with preparation of other balance sheet reconciliations and reporting in Blackline.
  • Other General Accounting and Close reporting :

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual Office of National Statistic returns;
  • Preparation of monthly UK VAT and Construction Industry Scheme returns, and quarterly French VAT returns;
  • Preparation of annual employee tax reporting, specifically P11D, P11D(B) and PSA;
  • Support other EMEA and US companies as required;
  • Attend UK and EMEA GAC team meetings.
  • Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies :

  • Minimum of 3 years financial accounting experience
  • CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified
  • Ability to use SAP, SAGE,, JP Morgan and Reval.
  • Advanced Excel and Word skills and good working knowledge of other Microsoft packages.
  • Complies with legislative, regulatory and company policy standards and procedures
