We are looking for a talented and passionate Data QA Engineer to join BrightTALK’s Engineering Department, working in our QA Team based in the UK.

Initially engaged with the Engineering - Data team which is responsible for implementing the centralized data lake and all services around it for reporting and analytical purposes.

We’re a passionate, hardworking, supportive, and sociable team, working on unique and interesting challenges that keep us continually learning, improving, and innovating.

We balance business requirements with a desire for technical excellence to build the best software possible to get the job done.

Expertise or Qualifications

  • A strong proven track record of designing and using the Java / Cucumber / Selenium WebDriver / Gherkin / Jenkins CI
  • Good knowledge of using AWS SDK / Data Lake / Glue / REST assured with Java
  • In depth understanding of large scale data, such as data warehouses and their best practice and principles of managing them
  • Solid SQL knowledge and technical understanding
  • Understanding of various data formats such as CSV, XML, JSON & PARQUET
  • Decent knowledge around utilizing APIs and databases to analyse issues
  • Experience of using bash scripts
  • A practical, hands-on approach to defining a suitable test suite appropriately covering all functional requirements
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to influence technical decisions in a fast-moving commercial environment
  • 4+ years commercial industry experience with war stories on how you’ve continuously improved the quality and extent of testing in your teams.
