An exciting Bristol based tech business are looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer with solid AWS / DevOps experience to deliver their established and highly successful platform to their ever-expanding client base.

The business is doing incredibly well, having recently moved their product to the cloud and more than tripling their team over lockdown it’s a really exciting time to be joining them on their journey.

You will be working on a fully remote basis (bar the occasional trip to the office) even after the restrictions ease up.

What you’ll need

Proven background in Software Development using PHP.

Experience working with JavaScript. Knowledge of modern JS libraries such as React & Typescript would be useful.

Previous experience working in a DevOps environment using AWS. Knowledge of CloudFormation would be beneficial.

Good working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code such as Ansible or Terraform is a bonus.

Ability to implement & maintain DevOps best practices.

Solid knowledge of OOP & SOLID principles.

What you’ll be doing

Joining a multi-disciplined & talented technical team your focus will be to deliver high-quality software for their award-winning cloud-based management platform.

This is a brand-new role where your responsibilities will span across development and DevOps; they have just moved their product to the cloud and are looking to automate a lot of their processes going forward.

Working closely with the wider dev team some of your responsibilities will include upgrading parts of their existing PHP codebase, setting up monitoring, build & deployment processes as well as implementing & maintaining CI / CD pipelines.

Using your expertise you will inform technical decisions from planning through to delivery. The culture is collaborative and everyone’s opinions are valued, you will be actively encouraged to contribute ideas and there’s real scope to grow in this role as a result.
