We're looking for an ambitious and driven Head of Brokerage Operations who’ll support the Brokerage Operations Manager and the wider Operations Team to continue Freetrade’s journey offering a first-class service to our customers.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to help shape how Freetrade evolves in our next stages of growth, both keeping alive the Freetrade culture and building a world-class brokerage operations function.

What you'll do in your first twelve months at FreetradeIn the first 6 months your role will be very hands-on, getting involved with both operational and brokerage work to understand the Freetrade landscape.

  • Carry out daily brokerage processes and contribute to process improvement and documentationManage and lead a operational function;
  • 1-2-1s, performance and development management for direct reports in the brokerage team Support the Product team in building new systems and workflows that enhance the Brokerage function and our customer’s experience.

    Support the operational roll-out of Freetrade offerings, working closely with Engineering, Product, Finance and the Risk & Compliance team to ensure we meet all regulatory requirements.

  • Transfers, Payments, Settlement and / or Corporate ActionsYou have a good understanding of relevant rules, regulations and reporting requirements within the Brokerage spaceYou are experienced in managing projects and / or teamsYou will be used to working with a high level of independence and thrive in a fast-paced working environment where you can act on and share ideas You can communicate effectively, including with cross-functional teamsHave completed the IOC or other relevant professional qualificationYou are excited about what we’re doing at Freetrade and where we’re headingYou are able to provide cover and work shifts outside of normal business hours such as weekends and bank holidaysPlease note : This position falls under SMCR (Senior Managers and Certification Regime).

    As an FCA regulated body and given the nature of this role, the successful applicant must undergo a credit check alongside our standard background checks.

    We will also request references to cover the past five years of employment. Logistics : The application process consists of a preliminary call with a member of the talent team followed by a call with the Head of Operations and then a remote video interview.

    The salary banding for this role is between £60,000 to £70,000 pa. We offer a competitive salary plus stock options and lots ofother benefits.
