This post is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting the Registered Manager in delivering a high quality service for children, young people, and foster carers.

You will be managing a team of experienced social work practitioners and support workers, as well as coordinating the work of sessional support workers.

The Team Manager is responsible for ensuring that legislative, regulatory, national minimum standards and company requirements are met so that NFA maintains or achieves outstanding performance.

If successful you will join Alliance Foster Care - an independent fostering agency based in Northampton that provides high quality foster placements for children and young people in the care of local authorities.

We are part of the National Fostering Agency Group and while we retain our own identity we benefit from the support of NFAG’s services including working with twelve other fostering agencies nationwide.

The Team Manager works closely with other colleagues and fulfils specific roles relating to foster carer recruitment and assessment, referrals and placements, foster carer learning and development.

The post holder also contributes to the strategic development and successful expansion of the Region.

You will need to be a qualified HCPC registered social worker with recent experience in fostering and services for children and a good working knowledge of the regulatory framework, plus some previous experience in a line management capacity.

Ideally you will have experience in meeting performance targets and developing services to meet organisational objectives.

You will be a strong written and verbal communicator with good IT skills, a flexible and adaptable approach and able to travel to support the growth across the region.
