Chubb Systems is currently recruiting for a Project Planner. The Planner will be responsible for the supervision and day to day management of the defined Planning and Project Controls tasks allocated by the Commercial and Contracts Director or Senior Leadership.

We are ideally seeking candidates based either in the South or North West of England. This is a long term continuous programme of work.

As a Project Planner, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for the successful and timely completion of a multimillion-pound infrastructure project.

What will I be doing as a Project Planner?

  • Working with the Bids / Estimating, operational and commercial team(s) create baseline project plans from first principles.
  • You will be responsible for the creation and periodic updating of appropriate programmes / business control data to monitor and report against the overall capacity of the business
  • You will be the post contract liaison with Customers and their consultant Project Management, Planning and Commercial team(s)
  • Prepare and submit Interim Progress Reports, including presentation and negotiation with the Customer and their Consultant(s).
  • To be successful in this role you will possess :

  • BSc (Hons) in Construction management and / or equivalent qualification along with expert knowledge and understanding of various project controls and measurements of project performance including CPI, SPI, Earned Value etc.
  • Experience in a similar position working on the commercial outcome of projects of a similar nature (Critical National Infrastructure / Energy)
  • good working knowledge of the planning requirements dictated with forms of contract currently used within the Building and Civil Engineering industries including the JCT and NEC 3 and 4 suites of contracts.
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6, Asta PowerProject, MS Project, etc. are also required.
  • Current UK driving licence (with national travel)
