The Product Marketing Manager role supports and drives our subsidiaries and distributors in the marketing and sales of our products -

Diagnostic Cardiology and Patient Monitoring within the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region. Both product ranges require development of sales tools and materials for sales people and product specialists.

This position reports to, and works closely with the EMEA Marketing Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • For the Diagnostic Cardiology and Patient Monitoring product ranges, ensure an effective level of training of all subsidiaries and distributors is delivered and maintained.
  • Create documentation and tools to support regular sales effort and targeted campaigns.
  • Define and provide materials for end-user training for our products and help to set up local provision of end-user training.
  • For all the above, bring in further expertise from colleagues and partner organisations where needed, working proactively and closely with the Subsidiary and Distributor Managers within the EMEA region
  • Work with commercial and Marketing Directors to produce and implement an annual marketing plan for the Products , within EMEA subsidiaries and Distributors
  • Prepare and deliver product launch / training materials and support packs for product range.
  • Create, implement and manage a best-practice model to maximize sales in all territories
  • Work effectively with upstream Marketing, GSM (Global Strategic Marketing) and within EMEA Channel Marketing to provide customer-facing materials
  • Lead for the product group in trade shows and conferences for equipment and messaging
  • Identify the need for new developments, including supplying and escalating supported ideas and knowledge of EMEA requirements for development, review, testing, proving, introducing and gaining reference, including providing up to date competitor information
  • Work closely with upstream’ marketing to keep abreast of all product development.
  • Understand, and be able to effectively demonstrate to stakeholders the key principles of connectivity and system implementation
  • Maintain the catalogue of reference sites and provide references and contacts as needed
  • Work to fulfil strategies designed to achieve targets for the financial year
  • Develop joint strategies with other divisions as appropriate to drive growth
  • Works within budgetary constraints

  • It is the responsibility of every Spacelabs Healthcare employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
  • REQUIREMENTS :

  • Preferably degree educated (or equivalent) in a Marketing, Healthcare or Business related subject. A Marketing qualification is desirable;
  • Must be clinically qualified in Cardiology or have a proven work history in the diagnostic cardiology environment.

    Proven experience as a product specialist or product manager in the medical equipment industry is required.

    Must be able to establish a base of knowledge in our products, ECG and Critical care medicine, focused on products and workflows.

  • Good working knowledge of healthcare provision in various international markets is essential;
  • Demonstrable, proven ability to engage clinicians and or clinical end users into discussion regarding product benefits and utilization and testing technology is essential;
  • Must be able to produce high quality documents and materials for use in training, marketing and sales support.

  • Preferable to have experience of working with distributors;
  • Comfortable dealing with both internal and external customers at all levels;
  • Well-organised and persistent, with excellent follow-up skills and the ability to deliver;
  • Excellent communication skills, and be equally at ease in one on one situations as well as group presentations and negotiations at the most senior levels within a healthcare establishment in a multitude of countries;
  • Excellent presentation skills are essential;
  • Excellent PC skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products are essential;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English essential, and an additional European language would be seen as an advantage;
  • Must be able to complete job responsibilities working with different time zone needs such as attending occasional late night / early morning meetings by phone and / or web to meet business needs;
  • Travel required 25% with peaks when required;
  • Must travel internationally and be able to acquire all necessary travel documents.

    OTHER WORK REQUIREMENTS :

  • Successful completion of Spacelabs training required (including training done at Company location);
  • Must become fully competent in the application and operation of all assigned products and systems;
  • May be required to register with a vendor credentialing service. As part of this process, may be required to submit personal information to a credentialing service company, provide proof of vaccinations or related medical information, and comply with other requirements needed to be able to work at customer site;
  • Must maintain a good driving record and be insurable per company policy;
  • Must maintain demo inventory in salable condition, including proper storage, movement and record keeping.
