You would use your business savvy to develop and run scalable sales programs to build mind share and broad use of Amazon’s cloud computing platform within the enterprise, SMB, and start-up communities.
Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will allow you build sales enablement tools to evangelize our platform with our enterprise customers, start-
ups and valued partners. You’ll also work closely with the product / service teams to help them evolve the products / services and address issues, concerns, and requests from the field.
The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to support engagements at the CxO / VP level, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact with software developers and architects.
He / she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-
organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness is a must.
Role & Responsibilities :
Serve as a key member of the EMEA platform business development team in contributing to the overall AWS market and technical strategy
Execute the strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, product service teams, legal, support, Product Marketing, etc.).
Focus on incubating new AWS services, delivering workload / solution specific domain expertise to scalable selling campaigns and developing repeatable, packaged solutions to solve customer challenges.
Work closely with the AWS account managers and partners to help ensure their customers are successful using AWS web services, making sure they have the technical resources required.
Understand the customer business requirements and translation into technical requirements, and work closely with the internal development teams to contribute to guide the direction of the product offerings.
Understand and exploit the use of Amazon internal tools to make data driven and proactive recommendations to the team to help growing the business
Prepare and propose business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks, and suggest solutions for addressing the latter.
Work cross-functionally within the Business Development team to address customer challenges and incubate new initiatives
Significant relevant work experience within the technology industry, business development, or program / product management experience.
Working knowledge of software development practices and data center / infrastructure / networking technologies highly desired.
Experience with building and running one to many programs - Operational excellence mind-set and experience. Data driven.
Excellent problem-solving skills. Adept at simplifying complexity and developing scalable propositions.
Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively across internal and external organizations with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong project / program management skills with ability to develop programs from conception to launch and to streamline existing processes
Strong technical knowledge with ability to go deep enough on technical aspects of AWS solutions, as well as driving business conversation that unearth these technical opportunities
