This role is part of our Employee Services team and will ideally be based from our Bradford office.

What’s the purpose of this role?
As the Employee Services Compliance Manager you will be up to date with compliance legislative expectations within HR and those areas which impact the employee journey and safe handling of complex personal data meeting GDPR regulations.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that we have a clear dashboard in place that provides KPIs to highlight complaints and escalations with the People or Payroll Shared Service.
What does the job entail?
Your duties will be wide ranging in the Employee Services Compliance Manager , but ultimately you will be responsible for :
Ensure that the Employee Services Team (HR & Payroll Shared Service) have processes that are compliant with current legislation and are in line with benchmarked best practice
Impact / risk assessment of future compliance areas that will impact Employee Services
Impact / risk assessment of any projects / changes that impact Employee Services
Identify and log risks within the Employee Services team relating to the services carried out by Employee Services
Responsible for the framework of controls that allows Employee Services to manage their risk
Update dashboard that displays KPI’s for Compliance within Employee Services
Ensure that compliance controls and processes are utilised across Employee Services
Responsibility for the Employee Services Incident Management Process, ensuring prompt response, delivering appropriate action and Root Cause Analysis
Ensure regulatory requirements are met including SOX Controls
Supporting Internal and External Audits of Employee Services as required
Delivering on action plans from the result of any Internal and External Audits
Supporting the delivery of performance within Employee Services utilising Stakeholder relationships and governance of SLA / KPI within Employee Services and 3rd party providers
Project leadership experience instigate projects to improve compliance

What we’re looking for;
As the right candidate for the role of Employee Services Compliance Manager, you will have some of the following :
Broad knowledge of external HR / Payroll / Shared Services developments and emerging best practice
Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, influencing, facilitation & stakeholder management skills across all levels of management
Sound understanding of reward payment and delivery principals both within VM and external companies; Good understanding of the Companies ethos around reward scheme development
Deep understanding of operational risk and experience in identifying & implementing controls to mitigate such risks
Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment
Sound judgemental skills to identify and resolve challenges and issues
Ability to make considered decisions that protect and enhance values and reputation
In depth knowledge of income Employment Legislation
Knowledge and good understanding of business analysis and work change execution
Pragmatic - able to balance the commercial and customer impacting aspects of different situations as they arise.
