To successfully lead the team of administrators and delivery technicians to meet and exceeds customer expectations while ensuring all statutory requirements are met by cost control, service and quality standards.

How will you contribute? Ensure a positive customer experience is delivered on every delivery. To proactively motivate HDP colleagues to achieve planned targets and deadlines by providing guidance and encouragement.
Ensure company procedures are strictly adhered to and that all disciplinary actions are conducted in accordance with established company working arrangements.
Brief HDP colleagues at the start of every shift to communicate planned requirements and provide information on performance, company news and procedures.
To be responsible for the allocation / retrieval of equipment such as telephones and tool kits and to ensure control sheets are signed as required.
To ensure drivers are always legally compliant (including WTD) and address issues of lack of conformance through the appropriate disciplinary channels.
To ensure that all the staff are fully trained and inducted, arranging refresher training as required. Analyse reports against key performance indicators and advise on action to improve results.
Monitor performance, timekeeping, attendance, overtime and sickness levels of individual colleagues and action as per procedures.
Conduct delivery technician Welcomes’ at the end of each journey to check for missed deliveries or other issues and take corrective action.
Conduct monthly team meetings to communication performance levels and key contract information to employees. Ensure enough staffing levels are maintained to ensure success against key performance indicators and take corrective action where required, as per the current procedure.
Conduct disciplinary, grievance and appeal meetings as required and in line with current procedures. Ensure that administration is carried out in a thorough and consistent manner ensuring that payroll is notified of all changes / amendments / holidays etc.
To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the function and the depot. Help control costs to meet both budget and flexed budget.
