Role Outline :

To provide dynamic strategic and operational leadership to defined group of Asset Management service streams to ensure it achieves its operational, strategic and financial objectives, consistent with the business unit strategy and the overall strategy of Tetra Tech UK, ensuring that Tetra Tech is recognised as a true centre of global excellence.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Lead the Asset Management operations to ensure the achievement of agreed KPI's. Monitor achievement rates against target expectations, and contractual requirements
  • Core member of Management & Surveying Operational Leadership Team contributing to overall business success
  • Be a significant contributor to the Management and Surveying business planning (e.g. budget, sector strategies, business development)
  • Develop succession plan for operational team including impacting diversity and inclusion
  • Manage project delivery, commercial management and resourcing across Asset Management
  • Responsible for managing accurate forecasting of forward pipeline within Asset Management
  • Provide leadership to the Heads of Practice / Service Area Leaders (across all active sectors)
  • Promote and deliver a positive safety and security culture
  • Lead or assist on specific engagement and activities as required to help achieve the business growth targets
  • Deliver and support BD related activities in line with corporate governance as directed by the Managing Director of Management & Surveying
  • Support the Managing Director, Management & Surveying as required
  • Positively influence best practice
  • Coordinate cross practice processes associated with this role
  • Delivers annual and medium term plans and KPI's that meet the objectives of Asset Management and match the expectations of the business
  • Develops and implements marketing and business development strategies that will deliver sales volumes, bid conversions e.
  • g. Go / No Go process, operating targets and profit plans in line with the Asset Management strategy and business plan

  • Ensures that key contractor and supplier networks are established and maintained, which consistently and effectively support project delivery to time, cost and quality requirements
  • Ensures that Asset Management has the necessary resource infrastructure to support the existing and future business plans, and the management capability to achieve its objectives
  • Supports MD to ensure continued development of the sector’s portfolio of services and competence to meet anticipated client and market requirements, and achieve GB and / or International market share objectives set by business unit and operating unit strategy
  • Ensures that Asset Management maintains the necessary capability for the supply of its chosen products and services, to meet identified client requirements and exploits market opportunities
  • Establishes new, and maintains existing relationships with key clients, partners, trade and the media in order to develop and enhance the sector’s market placement and reputation
  • Acts as a role model for Tetra Tech’s core values and behaviours
  • Ensures that the technical capability is continually enhanced and that a culture of continuous improvement is engrained in all of Asset Management’s activities.
  • Pro-actively manages business risk and ensures that appropriate and timely action is taken, including escalation, when required.
  • Skills, Knowledge & Experience :

  • Professionally qualified with relevant industry experience at a senior level and a full Member or Fellow of one of the following areas :
  • Chartered Surveyor
  • Chartered Engineer
  • And / or be a member or fellow of the Institute of Asset Management
  • Experienced in successfully developing business strategies, working in a diverse team at leadership level, securing and delivering major projects from inception to completion, with the ability to produce commercial bids, write persuasive project proposals and perform effectively at the interview stage of a bid.
  • You will have the ability to manage other professionals and assistants and to collaborate and influence other industry professionals and clients.

  • A demonstrable track record of a high standard of technical delivery.

  • A proven track record in managing and leading professional teams (including coaching, mentoring and leadership to achieve agreed performance objectives)
  • You will have the drive, commitment and ambition to succeed in growing the Practice across our chosen market sectors.
