Zayo is seeking a European Director of Facilities & ISP who will be responsible for improving and maintaining Zayo’s estate of ILA buildings across Europe as well as ensuring quick and timely deployment of new ILA’s and internal colocation services (ISP).
Responsibilities End-to-end accountability for managing all aspects of order Zayo’s European facilities estate including design, build, develop, project management and maintain to ensure an efficient and timely facilities function Putting in place the performance management systems to ensure that there is a transparent view of service and activation and an ability to react to service issues in a timely manner Work with other operational functions to ensure a best in class network for stability & activation Manage a geographically distributed team dedicated to managing the estate including right of way, facilities land lease or purchasing Responsible for identifying, negotiating & managing contractor performance from an installation perspective through to ongoing care and preventative maintenance Coordinate with other internal specialized departments and business segments, to ensure a consistent approach to architecture and deployment across regions / networks that results in reduced variability and costs of operation through synergistic initiatives Provide product management / marketing departments with relevant information, suggestions, client feedback that will lead to the refinement of current products and services which will lead to a greater market differentiation for Zayo Candidate Profile To fill this crucial leadership role, Zayo is looking for a seasoned executive with proven track record in facilities management, a holistic understanding of telecom delivery models, proven change and integration management skills, and transformational leadership experience.
Specific expertise in fiber and / or broader telecoms network operations would be an advantage. The new leader will possess a track record of success in building and maintaining 24 / 7 mission critical services across all facilities objectives, combined with a deep structural understanding of the planning and execution of infrastructure transformation and consolidation.
Experience in complex, high transaction / high availability network services design, planning, and delivery execution operations at scale is crucial.
Alongside operational and leadership strength, business acumen is also paramount. The successful candidate should demonstrate customer orientation and strong stakeholder management skills.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who will have professionally developed in an environment where facilities operational excellence is key.
This individual will have ideally gained management experience across a multi-region / multi-national area, dealing simultaneously with complex change and transformation, and cultural integration challenge and will have had significant leadership and staff management responsibility.
