Our Pensions Teamis based largely in Leeds, with lawyers also in London. In our Leeds office there are 3 partners whoare all involved in a wide range of different matters.

In addition to the 3partners, there are 7 other fee earners plus 2 senior, experienced paralegals,and a trainee. The team has been banded Tier1 in Legal 500 and Chambers for many years as long as anyone can remember.

Theteam is headed up by Rachel Rawnsley who isbased in Leeds.

The work is hugely varied. We advisetrustees of some very large and household named pension schemes, as well as thelargest corporate organisations, not just in Leeds and Yorkshire, on theirpension arrangements.

The team alsohandles pensions litigation and has a market leading SIPP and SSAS practice,which sets it apart from other firms.

The work involves advising on trust law, commercial terms, contract law,trustee governance, investments, corporate law and corporate support work.

For a specialist area, a pensions lawyer usesa wider range of legal skills than almost any other. As a lawyer in our Pensions Team, you willliaise with colleagues in corporate, real estate, banking, employment, privateclient, commercial and litigation.

TheTeam pride themselves as being a busy, high performing and cohesive team. Atthe same time they have a modern approach to work and are active advocates ofthe flexible working policy at AG.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Pensions Lawyer into our ambitiousLeeds Team. You will manage your own workload as well as supporting partners onlarge and complex matters of which you can expect a broad, challenging andinteresting variety of work.

As a Seniormember of the team you will play a role in helping the team develop and buildrelationships with new and existing clients through business developmentinitiatives.

Internally you will play akey part in shaping and driving the development of the team, including thesupervision of junior members, and there will be plenty of opportunity for youto take on additional responsibility and advance your career.

  • A minimum of 8 years of post qualification experience gained within a comparable environment and at an appropriate level
  • Excellent knowledge of pensions and related law
  • A proven record of a high standard of client care for existing clients
  • The ability to fit quickly into a team-based environment and experience of delegating to, and working with, trainees and junior associates
