We currently have a vacancy for aMaintenance Engineer at our site in Barrow-in-Furness with our Weapon Systemsbusiness.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will report tothe Maintenance and Site Facilities team lead and will be responsible formaintaining and servicing electrical and mechanical equipment, carrying outboth planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production equipmentwithin our Weapons Systems facility.
This role will provide you with a greatopportunity to join a business unit where no two days are the same, gainingexposure across the business whilst working with a broad range of equipment.
Your main responsibilities as a MaintenanceEngineer will involve :
Maintaining and servicing electrical andmechanical equipment
Carrying out both planned and reactivemaintenance on a wide range of production equipment within the Weapons Systemsfacility
Adhering to safety procedures at all times
Formulating and carrying out periodic reviewsof planned maintenance schedules
Undertaking maintenance work using writteninstructions and procedures
Complying with legislative, regulatory andcompany standards and policies
Working safely at all times, complying withHealth and Safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines
Your skills and qualifications as a MaintenanceEngineer :
Time served apprentice / HND or equivalentqualification or experience
Experience of working in a similar positionwithin a manufacturing facility
Experience in electrical biased role with somemechanical knowledge
Understanding and knowledge of fault finding onCNC machines
Experience of Lock out and Tag out of machines
Knowledge and understanding of the SAP orsimilar system
IOSH or willing to work towards thisqualification
Knowledge or experience of Fanuc and Siemenssystems
Knowledge or understanding of any of thefollowing :
Pendant Crane & Slinging
Master Mover Operation
Working at Height
