SC Cleared Project Manager - IT Solutions - WIN10 Migration

Job Summary :

Reporting directly to Professional Services Manager, the Project Services Manager (PSM) is assigned projects and or / client(s) and approved solutions to ratify, implement, deliver to budget as defined by Operations.

The PSM will work closely with both the Client Manager (CM) and the Operations Manager (OM) to ensure that the solution meets the client’s needs.

The PSM will have the responsibility of the projects / tasks profitability, once project and / or task has been assigned to Project Services to deliver.

Key deliverables : Project management

Project management

  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Identifies & requests relevant resources and assigns individual project responsibilities.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of the project and scope to maintain profitability.
  • Responsible for overall deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
  • Prepares and reviews regular engagement deliverables and quality assurance procedures.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
  • Project accounting

  • Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis and signs off to budget.
  • Manages project profit and loss.
  • Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project.
  • Assists Finance / Sales with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.
  • Financial Management

  • Understands the revenue models, P / L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly.
  • Understands our pricing model and billing procedures.
  • Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization.
  • Assures project legal documents are completed and signed.
  • Maintains the set margin of the project.
  • Will highlight immediately any reduction or risks to margin.
  • Business Development

  • Identifies business development and add-on sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project and makes the Client Manager aware of said opportunity.
  • Effectively conveys our message in both written and verbal business development discussions.
  • Communication

  • Facilitates team and client meetings effectively.
  • Holds regular status meetings with project team.
  • Keep project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news.
  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to Head of Operations.
  • Delivers engaging, informative, well-organised presentations.
  • Resolves and / or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
  • Understands how to communicate difficult / sensitive information tactfully.
  • Internal Operations

  • Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions to Head of Operations.
  • Approves team members time and expense reports in a conscientious and timely manner.
  • Reviews the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate.

  • Personal Specification

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience :

  • Experience of managing and implementing Project Services with Professional Organisation.
  • Prince 2, ITII, Microsoft BDD preferred.
  • Active project management in delivering large scale application migrations in last 5 years.
  • Experience delivering IT projects and services in a commercial environment to budget.
  • Understanding of Microsoft, corporate migrations and the business issues involved.
  • Experience of applications packaging technologies is a distinct advantage.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel for creating management information, World for report writing and PowerPoint for presentations.
