As a member of the group, you will be working directly with scientistsfrom a wide range of disciplines, on projects across our R&D portfolio.
Youwill be a critical contributor in helping to shape study objectives, and in determiningoptimum experimental design and data collection methodology.
When it comes toanalysis of data, you will determine the most appropriate methodology foraddressing the objectives and you will either conduct the analysis yourself, orsupport the scientist in conducting the analysis themselves.
Either way, youwill have a responsibility to ensure that results are interpreted correctly,and to advise project teams and decision makers on the conclusions that can bedrawn.
The close working relationship needed between statistician and scientistmeans it is vital that you are good at working with others and are able toclearly communicate statistical concepts to non-statisticians.
All members of the group are expected to act as statistical ambassadorswithin the company, promoting the benefits of good statistical practice and theappropriate involvement of professional statisticians in research activities.
