Business Recovery Services, Real Assets & Credit and Mergers and Acquisitions. We are looking for an individual to join our Real Assets & Credit tax team as a real estate tax specialist.

You'll work on complex and challenging assignments. Our team advises on a large volume of diverse direct and indirect real estate transactions both in the UK and across the world.

Our team is supported by a wide variety of specialists including stamp, VAT, capital allowances, construction industry scheme, tax compliance and finance and treasury specialists.
Our team also collaborates across different lines of service and with our overseas firms.
You will gain experience working with prestigious and interesting clients as we have a wide client base including sovereign wealth funds, high profile multinationals, private equity funds, institutions, pension funds and REITs.
Responsibilities
Building client relationships, getting to know your clients and actively participate in client calls
Building your internal networks and reaching out to specific teams where needed
Setting up project management tools and arranging catch ups with specialist and overseas teams
Managing own workload considering wider project priorities and commitments
Managing upwards to keep senior stakeholders aware of progress on delegated tasks
Showing an active awareness of project deadlines and turnaround times
Generating and drafting technical content for tax due diligence and tax structuring reports with support from senior team members and specialists
Reaching out to overseas or specialist teams when needed
Coaching junior members of the team providing them with guidance as to how to approach certain tasks
Monitoring and driving cost reporting processes
Monitoring and driving risk management processes
Being curious and asking challenging questions
Developing your tax technical, digital and industry knowledge through your own research, on the job coaching and attending internal training sessions
Essential skills and experience
Be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, CAI) or Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA)
Experience at working on real estate or corporate tax projects
Experience of leading and coaching others
Experience in building and leveraging internal and external relationships and networks
Developed communication skills, specifically in negotiating with and influencing others
Experience of handling and delivering multiple projects to meet deadlines
