Duties of the Role

The Administration Officer will be responsible for providing support across a wide range of administrative functions, making a vital contribution to the smooth running of the sports centre and activities.

The post holder will work closely with all Essex Sport staff and both internal and external customers. The post holder will assist with processing of bookings, ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed of upcoming bookings, overseeing the administration team email inbox correctly identifying relevant required actions, process essential financial tasks such as coding of income, raising purchase orders and invoices, and performing data housekeeping on Leisure Management System.

Skills and qualifications required

The position requires a suitably qualified person with previous experience of working in an administration or customer service role and in a sports environment.

You must possess excellent organisational skills, ability to communicate positively and effectively both verbally and in writing, high level of accuracy and attention to detail, experience of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular dealing with large database / datasets.

Importantly, the position requires enthusiasm and flexibility, and taking a pro-active approach to training and continual development.
