We’ve an incredible story to tell here at the National Trust and you’re the perfect person to help us tell it. You would be working across the Central Lake District, listening to members of the public and sharing with them all that is brilliant about the National Trust.
Here at the National Trust, we want even more people to enjoy our extraordinary places. We want people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved with them, be inspired by them, and love them as much as we do.
That’s why we’ve put some bold ambitions in place. We want everyone in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to feel like a member of the National Trust.
You’ll ensure your team are informative, engaging and know how to promote our membership, helping us deliver our targets.
What it's like to work here
The Lake District is one of the most diverse, interesting and challenging areas in the whole of the National Trust, with millions of visitors each year.
We look after some of the most stunning landscapes in England here in the Central Lakes. The Property includes Ullswater, Ambleside, Grasmere, Langdale and Windermere.
You will be based at our High Close Property Office at Loughrigg, a fantastic central base for your team.
What you'll be doing
Visitors are a vital part of what we do. As a charity, every penny we raise goes back into our continued conservation of our places and spaces.
You’ll need to make sure that we’re at the big shows, venues and events, but you’ll also look into new locations and work out the best place to be at the best time.
You’ll be promoting and selling National Trust membership, and work with our marketing team, using the likes of Twitter and Facebook to strike up conversations and let supporters and potential members know where you’ll be and when.
Try to imagine a more enjoyable way to spend your working days. The adventure of the open road, meeting new people, and singing the many praises of the National Trust.
We’ll give you training to get you started, as well as a National Trust vehicle to get around in.
In addition to this, you will be leading the Off-site engagement team that fulfil the role above, being a point of contact, listening and motivating them and helping them to feel part of a team.
You will help them to keep high standards of visual presentation and as their line manager help all to reach their sales targets.
