An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time 9 month fixed term contract as a Force Duties & Resourcing Planner, based at HQ Lewes, working for Operations Command.
This is a busy and challenging role, and requires someone who is flexible with the ability to multi-task. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will be responsible for ensuring resource demands are met for both day-
to-day policing activity, and those of significant events and operations across Sussex & Surrey.
Duties and Resourcing Planners are responsible for ensuring both police officers and police staff are where they need to be to meet the policing demands across the Surrey and Sussex Force areas.
Working as a member of the Duties and Resourcing Team, you will play a key role in ensuring that resources are provided, not only for day-
to-day policing activity, but also for both pre-planned and spontaneous operations. The post holder will also be expected to manage personnel abstractions and attendances, and provide advice and guidance to internal customers on a range of duties and resourcing enquiries, including those relating to legislation and policy.

We are looking for an individual with good IT skills, who have excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Experience of using a computerised resourcing system would be an advantage.
You must be able to work accurately to meet deadlines whilst complying with Force policy and procedures.
