The key element of your role is to provide Programme and Project Management capability within Serco’s Customer, Professional, Employment and Skill Services.

Leading on single or multiple large complex projects and programmes across the full life cycle from definition to closure, you’ll ensure projects are delivered to agreed quality, cost and time metrics and within agreed project framework and governance.

Assignments may include :

  • Support bids in developing and articulating Serco’s response to transition and transformation requirements
  • Mobilising and transitioning new contract awards ensuring low risk and successful service commencement
  • In life transformation of existing CPES contracts
  • Exiting end-of-life contracts
  • Leading large scale / highly complex / high risk projects / programmes across CPES
  • Provide effective leadership to the project team(s) within a programme and take appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
  • Supporting the development of the tools and frameworks used by the Projects and Programmes Team.
  • This is a remote position, with travel.

    What you’ll need to do the role :

    Ideally you will be an experienced Programme Manager with strong programme management capability with evidence of excellent knowledge, techniques and approaches, ideally from a local or central government background.

    You should have experience of working in an outsource technology environment and the ability to deliver through suppliers and in-house teams.

    Knowledge of bidding, mobilisation, transitions and transformation is also required.

    You will be working with senior stakeholders across the business, so it is essential that you are comfortable and have experience working to that level with Proven leadership skills.

    You should also have experience of managing and motivating team.

    With a good understanding of commercial and risk acuity, you’ll be easily identify with the business issues and able to proactively manage risks and commercial exposure and a broad understanding of business management principles.
