Their global reach allows its employees to travel the world and give access to opportunities across all levels.Job DescriptionAs Assistant Project Accountant, you will support the project accounting function, controls and reports across the business.

Your key duties include : Managing the project costing system and coding within Sage, implementing new control procedures to manage cost allocation and cost reportingAssisting with pricing, review of 'as sold model', margins and review / assist on the understanding of the cash flowInvolvement in the development of financial performance against the expected profitability and proactively identify risks and issues for communication to Project AccountantsLiaise with Project Managers and commercial partners in analysing and interpreting variances between planned and unplanned income and expenditureAssist with monthly flash figures for sales and forecasted profitabilityEnsure revenue is invoiced in a timely manner in accordance with contractual and project milestonesCreate and review monthly calculations of accrued income and cost accruals in relation to project delivery and performanceInvolvement in the preparation of quarterly forecasts / budgets to include revenue, profit and cash flow targets with Project Managers and Division DirectorsReport to management on any opportunities for additional billings, liaise with Project Managers to ensure all relevant project expenses are billed to the clientEscalate and obtain approval for any project billings that cannot be billed or collected from customersAssist with compilation of relevant information for internal / external auditorsThe Successful ApplicantThe successful applicant for the Assistant Project Accountant role must have the following skills and experience : AAT Qualified or early stages studierConfident personalityAbility to work in a changing and flexible organisationStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenGreat attention to detailStrong team player with a willingness to assist and learn from colleaguesWell organised, motivated and eager to learnStrong IT skillsProficient user in ExcelBe able to prioritise work and ability to manage time in order to meet deadlinesThe ability to work independently and take initiativeWhat's on OfferThe package on offer includes : 23 days holidayPension schemeLife assuranceShare save schemeHealthcare and optical planCycle to work scheme
