Maternity Cover Fixed Term Contract

Anglian Water Occupational Health Team are looking for a full time Occupational Health Advisor to cover a 12-month maternity leave.

The role will involve you working with the management team and safety team employees of the Customer Services Business Unit.

Offering guidance over the phone, management of absence (musculoskeletal, mental health and other conditions) and updating policies dependant on business requirements.

You will be working in a small team of 8 which includes the Team Manager, Team Leader and 6 other Occupational Health Advisors all located remotely from Norfolk, Central Lincoln and Hartlepool.

You will be required to provide advice on the Safe & Well-being policies, procedures and practices, helping to reduce business risk through effective advice on the implementation of policies in individual’s business units.

Finally, in association with the Business Unit senior managers and or HR, you will be required to provide appropriate, targeted training of managers and employees and monitor & evaluate the impact & success of occupational health change initiatives.

What does it take to be an Occupational Health Advisor?

Experience from a health care background (not necessarily a nurse, people in our team’s physio and occupational therapists, health and background / qualification)Occupational Health diploma / degree desirable or willingness to undertake training in the field.

Willingness to learn, take initiative and be flexible.Minimum 3 years’ experience in healthcareCandidate must be proactive, good with detail and excellent at communicating.

Ability to be autonomous in their practice and take ownership of their workload with a positive team working attitudeAbility to work and negotiate with business Unit Directors and senior managers, influencing the adoption of the health and well-being culture.

Excellent customer service skillsExcellent communication skillsExcellent presentation skillsGood computerGood personal management and organisation skillsThere will be some travel involved to our different office locations around the area, we serve.

If successful in your application, the status of your driving licence will be checked.
