Job Description Johnson & Johnson Medical Companies produce a broad range of innovative products and solutions used primarily by health care professionals in the fields of orthopaedics, neurological disease, infection prevention, cardiovascular disease, and aesthetics.

Role Purpose : Reporting into the Regional Sales Manager as the Energy Development Manager you will be responsible for the business within the West Yorkshire and East Midlands area (Leicestershire, Nottingham, Leeds, Sheffield).

You will have two core areas which include the Energy portfolio and the Megadyne business. This is a great opportunity as you will have a fair mix of warm and existing business as well as new business with some innovative and state of the art products.

As the Sales Development Manager, Energy you will be responsible for : Driving required divisional sales growth across the product portfolio in targeted competitor accounts as agreed with Sales Management.

Developing Account Acquisition Plans with the Regional Sales Managers and Sales Consultants for all target accounts. Engaging and leading in commercial discussions with hospital procurement and business management teams.

Co-ordinating and driving the execution of the Acquisition Plans with the UK Sales Team, Regional and UK Marketing teams and other relevant functional areas.

Leading the implementation plan for the acquired target accounts and coordinating the activity across the organisation. Continually developing a pipeline of potential target accounts with Sales Management.

Working with other Sales Development Managers within the business and within other businesses within J&J for National Account Targets as defined by the Leadership Team.

Effectively partnering with the sales management, sales consultants and marketing team, to ensure we harness the full extent of our company resources and deliver more than our competitors.

Building strong networks of relationships that enable the identification of mutually beneficial opportunities to ensure growth.

Developing and managing positive relationships with national key customers and opinion leaders. Presenting brand value propositions and value-

added customer solutions to positively influence buying behaviours. Understanding technical information pertinent to the procedure and product platform.

Maintaining up-to-date market and industry knowledge. QualificationsSkills and competencies required : You will have the ability to analyse the marketplace to ensure focus on and acquisition of new business.

Be able to demonstrate exceptional negotiating skills Demonstrate the ability to effectively plan and prioritise Commercial acumen will be pivotal.

Show how you can think strategically whilst also being able to operate tactically. Influencing and business partnering skills and a proven track record in understanding stakeholders’ requirements, the ability to analyse their requirements and develop strategies that drive the adoption of technologies.

Show evidence of being a trusted business advisor who has a solution orientated mindset. Able to build trust with customers and always act in a consultative manner.

Effectively utlilise the Company’s selling tools (Integrity Selling) and customer relationship management system. Always maintain deep clinical expertise in procedure and product knowledge.

Network proactively in business situations; looks to expands network and is happy to challenge self and step outside of your own comfort zone.
