Join us as a Team Leader in Stonehouse where you’ll provide great leadership and day-to-day supervision to your team of support workers to ensure excellent support and care is provided.

This position is full-time and you will be leading a newly formed team at a home based in Quedgeley. You'll support seven people in their day to day lives ranging from people who have some independence to providing full personal care, some moving and handling and assisting with providing a range of activities that meets varied age groups.


About the role

Working in shifts as part of the team, you’ll provide direct care and support to the people we support and model best practice.

You’ll lead and inspire your team to support individuals to maintain their independence and to achieve their aspirations.

You'll assist the locality manager in the supervision, coaching and mentoring of the team. Co-ordinate the daily provision of support and activities for people we support to ensure the delivery of a high quality, responsive and efficient service.

By tailoring your management style, you’ll support to your team based on their individual needs, goals and levels of experience.

You’ll maintain employee engagement and performance through effective leadership, communication, supervision, appraisal and mentoring of all employees.

You’ll have finances and other resources to manage, along with legal requirements and standards of care to meet.

About you

You’ll have demonstrable experience working with people with a learning disability and ideally some experience managing and developing skills within a team.

Ideally you'll have a level 3 social care qualification and if you’ve a relevant management qualification, that’s even better.

A full driving licence is essential for this role.

You’ll be a role model for excellent support, who can inspire others and enable them to achieve their goals. A confident problem solver and creative thinker with good communication skills, you’ll have resilience to overcome challenges.

You’ll have a passion for your work and be committed to ensuring that your team has the tools and guidance it needs to deliver first-class consistent support and care.

Confident in managing budgets and resources, you’ll have an up-to-date knowledge of legislation and quality standards.

All team leaders work flexible shifts to provide a 24 / 7 service to the people we support.

The salary for this role is £23,999 - £25,467 pa pro rata (£12.27 - £13.02 per hour), dependent on qualifications & experience.

You have the option of working additional hours or sleep-ins in a range of services - paid at £50-£70 extra per sleep-in.
