Arup is an independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists offering a broad range of professional services.

Through our work, we make a positive difference in the world.

We have an ambitious commitment to be the digital leader in the built environment and are investing heavily in our digital transformation.

We have digital teams and experts all over the world, who collaborate on world-leading software, data and automation projects and products.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a front-end developer to join our global development team specialising in technical software for engineering design and analysis.

You will be developing Oasys, a world-leading geotechnical engineering software suite that has been used on large infrastructure projects like Crossrail, Copenhagen Metro and many more.

The role

We are transitioning our existing applications from a desktop system implemented predominantly in C++ to a modern, flexible and responsive design that is ready for cloud deployment.

Our main languages are C# / .NET, with UI development in Chromium and Vue.js and calculation code in C++.

Our team is a mix of geotechnical engineers and software developers in different locations around the world, who work to define and develop new features as well as refine and optimise the existing ones.

Just before joining Oasys I had several job offers to pick from. Of course, the one thought on my mind after accepting the job was I hope I made the right choice .

Looking back, it was the best possible decision I could have made. I am now surrounded by the most supportive, intelligent, creative people I could wish for.

Oasys and Arup encourage all employees to think outside the box, to innovate and to be themselves. It is a truly unique place to work.
