Staffordshire University is on a journey to become the foremost modern higher education institution in the UK, with an international reputation for excellence, and we are looking for inspirational and effective people to take us to the next stage.
In 2018 we broke in to the World University rankings for the first time and were named as a top 50 UK university by the Guardian.
The quality of our student experience has placed us in the top 10 for teaching quality in the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018 and in 2019 we achieved a Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework.
Many of our students come from areas with low rates of participation in higher education and we continually strive to ensure the courses we offer meet the needs of people and employers.
We are expanding our non-traditional, flexible study options, particularly in apprenticeships serving the public sector.
You can join us at a time when we begin the next step of our transformation journey. The new £40m Catalyst Building will deliver 6,500 new apprentices in the next decade, boosting both the local and national economy.
The development of our offer to new academic areas and geographic locations will see us expand our reach and make an innovative offer to a new generation of students.
We are a university of and for our community : local, national and global. If you share our values and have the skills to deliver our vision, we want to hear from you.
We pride ourselves on recruiting students from diverse backgrounds and enabling them to shape their learning experience to suit their lifestyles and aspirations.
We encourage our students to dare to be different, to aim to achieve great things and support them through their journey, providing an excellent learning experience.
Staffordshire University is in the midst of existing times. In a landscape of seismic change in Higher Education we are producing a new strategy and reshaping the way we work, to ensure that we are fit for the future and to seize emerging opportunities and deal with any challenges.
This has engendered an optimism and energy amongst our staff and students who are playing a central role in shaping our future.
One of our values is to be brilliant and friendly’ and that is what our staff and students are. The Students Union have driven our value of proud to be Staffs’ and this set the tone for how we work at Staffordshire University.
We recognise that we have to improve our performance against relevant benchmarks and in external league tables, and we are pleased that we are beginning to see a step change.
Our refurbishments of new buildings on our Stoke campus and our Centres of Excellence in Stafford and Shrewsbury continue to be unveiled and we are delighted to see the emerging transformation of our facilities.
