    Job Description :

    This is an entry-level position. Candidates will demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work independently, assess incidents / requests, and apply the correct level of urgency to achieve a mutually accepted solution, all while providing exemplary customer service in support of Merkle’s technology vision.

    The Intern should have a strong drive to learn new enterprise-class technologies. The Intern will be assisting with day-

    to-day IT tasks and providing support to the team where necessary.

    This role reports to the IT End User team lead in London. The Intern will work with a London based team.

    Essential Tasks and Responsibilities :

  • Assist with incident and request tasks.
  • Assist with maintaining and troubleshooting laptops, monitors and docking stations.
  • Assist with laptop imaging for new and existing users.
  • Assist with the corporate mobile phone management and troubleshoot as required.
  • Provision and Reclaim software from end-user hardware.
  • Escalate issues as defined in documented escalation procedures.
  • Uphold and promote Merkle’s core values and culture.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Measures of Success :

  • Maintain a high level of internal customer service.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and share knowledge with team members.
  • Assist with technical incidents / escalating where appropriate.
  • Qualifications :

    This position requires the ability to work somewhat independently and with the team of IT End User technicians. Supervision and support will be provided.

  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Possess good telephone etiquette and the ability to deal effectively with end users, peers, and team leader.
  • Possess the ability to read, analyse, and interpret helpdesk tickets and emails, and seek guidance when needed.
  • Relate in a positive professional manner with end users and coworkers.
  • Interact well with different personalities.
  • Make decisions and judgements based on standard procedures.
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to organise and prioritise several tasks at one time.
  • Demonstrate the ability to determine when to escalate issues based on level.
  • Demonstrate PC proficiency using common software programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, etc.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn new skills techniques and responsibilities.
  • Must be reliable and related to schedule and recurring tasks.
  • Familiarity with Dell trouble shooting and Windows operating systems would be a bonus.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding with Microsoft Outlook.
