Rexel UK Ltd has an opportunity for a Sales Executive to work across multi-banner branches within Scotland to deliver and exceed the Sales and Gross Profit budget within an allocated region.

The role holder will continue the Facilities Management (FM) growth objectives in line with the Rexel business plan.

The Role

  • Act as the eyes and ears of the FM National Account Managers and will build long term relationships with strategic regional FM offices for designated accounts in order to support the growth planned within this sector.
  • Mobilise multiple sales activities in conjunction with banner regional sales and management teams.
  • Gather, monitor and disseminate client intelligence to relevant contacts within the banner network, providing high levels of support and demonstrating professionalism at all times.
  • Implement the Business Plan for the appropriate territory and develop this into a profitable business performance.
  • Develop long term, sustainable relationships with key decision makers within all allocated accounts across multi-sites and contracts.
  • Work collaboratively with FM focused branches to secure day to day business, identify prospects and proactively seek out new revenue generation opportunities.
  • Create CRM in the region, with detailed contacts at all levels, to enable proactive contact in order to develop and liaise with customers to ensure maximum ROI
  • Ensure all opportunities are realised and supported by both internal and external resource by reviewing and agreeing documented objectives with Regional SMT, identifying growth and areas for support.
  • Identify and record proactive appointments within the monthly call plan and record and report all monthly RAM activities within the required timescales to highlight areas of success and opportunities for the following month.
  • The Person

  • Experience of sales account management and development within the Facilities Management sector, together with a proven ability to navigate’ through what could be perceived as a political’ environment.
  • Has worked with a large, matrix organisation.
  • Evidence of strong organisational skills and ability to handle requests / requirements from multiple banners at the same time.
  • Exposure to business issues with evidence of being able to add value.
  • Able to communicate and persuade at all levels.
  • Proven ability in maintaining long term relationships and networking to win new business.
  • Track record in pro-active customer engagement with the ability to work across a broad range of groups at all levels, including customers, internal and external resources.
  • Able to deliver sales performance in a dynamic specialist sales environment with ongoing rapid change and growth.
  • Resilience, tenacity and the ability to network effectively are crucial.
  • Able to analyse processes and data rapidly and understand critical areas for sales development opportunities and performance.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of KPIs, SLAs and a commitment to service delivery and continuous development.
  • Able to gain support from a range of different functions to service customer needs.
