Job Duties. Working for the Data Management Office, focusing on business management and operational support. The role will be responsible for ensuring the business alignment to key initiatives, organisational risk through oversight and management information generation.
Key partners include the executive, investments, governance committees, distribution, transformation and technology. The role requires broad understanding of the data and information demands of an investment manager and should feel comfortable with influencing all stakeholders levels.
The role will be forward thinking and consider ways of migrating appropriate data management processes away from these business lines and into the DMO.
ACCOUNTABILITIES : . Strategic support for the heads of Data, Vendor management, Data technology and transformation. Ownership of all operational and risk management information.
Contribute to the development of LGIM'S Data strategy including evaluation of the establishment of LGIM operations and implementation of operational initiatives.
Help to develop business processes and management information to effectively manage business. activities. Provide horizon scanning for regulatory issues, market threats and other challenges to LGIM's strategic objectives.
Coordination with finance in budgeting and planning processes and ongoing monitoring and management of the CDO group financial metrics, headcount plans and cost management.
Design, measurement and monitoring of relevant and appropriate efficiency metrics for each function within the CDO group.
To develop a Data Governance strategy at LGIM that supports internal and external needs, that defines and assigns different roles in the end-
to-end data processes and that is fit for purpose, firm-wide. To implement measures for key elements like data quality, accuracy and completeness that are fit for purpose and that can be used for wider dissemination to DMO / COO management teams and other business stakeholders.
Support the CDO group communication strategy to include monthly update production and publication and creation of town hall materials and other business group updates.
Be the central function working with risk and compliance on operating events ensuring that relevant and appropriate controls are reviewed and updated as required.
In addition liaising with risk and compliance to proactively maintain awareness across the CDO group of upcoming regulations thereby ensuring that any business impact of regulatory change is anticipated and acted upon in a timely manner.
Develop Talent management, succession management, people strategy, and compensation for CDO function. Working for the Data Management Office, focusing on managing business data which supports LGIM's Investment teams, Investment Risk and Performance department.
Skills Required. Experience working at senior levels within financial services and ideally Investment Management. Strong knowledge and understanding of the day to day operations (both technical and operational) of a global firm (preferably Investment Management).
Dynamic, self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude and solid work experience in a similar Data Management function for another buy-
side institution. Individuals with exposure to Data Governance, Data Lineage or Metadata tools preferred. Can demonstrate a good understanding of the financial data industry and data technologies.
Degree educated and / or industry relevant qualifications. Has a good understanding of the regulatory changes that impact the data space.
A good team player, demonstrates good communication and relationship-building. Client focused and able to liaise with all stakeholder levels.
Excellent planning, prioritisation, problem solving and organisational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
