    The role-holder will be joining at an exciting time for GSMA as we implement Workday Financials within the organisation, and will be filling a key position within the team to provide expert support and development of the Workday platform as well as associated corporate applications.

    About the Team

    A newly consolidated team, bringing together previously separate support and development teams for the company’s key applications, we are building out a new structure and new processes that will ensure current and future success of our application portfolio.

    Your peers will be other team managers, supporting their own specific application sets, but with a common goal to provide a consolidated, integrated and collaborative service to the organization.

    About the Role

    Reporting to the Head of IT Applications, this role will support the maintenance, development, and future roadmap of our Workday Financials modules, other corporate services related applications, and future Workday HCM module.

    With one direct report, the role will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Corporate systems portfolio, providing L1 support and working with software vendors and internal teams to resolve issues as they arise.

    The role holder will develop the functional, business process workflow, integration and reporting capabilities of the systems, according to the priorities set by key stakeholders and working closely with them to understand requirements and define the systems roadmap.

    They will continuously monitor the systems landscape to ensure that the products meet the needs of the stakeholders and be proactive in planning for future solutions.

    The role holder will be responsible for managing all software updates including SaaS providers’ regular mandatory releases to ensure adequately planned and regression tested within IT Application support team and by key stakeholders.

    Training will be developed by role holder, to ensure new users are fully equipped and qualified to make use of the tools available to them.

    The role will liaise with other IT team members to ensure consistency of delivery, support and operational processes, and work with the Head of IT Applications in running regular Change Board and Roadmap sessions with key stakeholders and other IT team members.

    With the project to implement Workday Financials in progress alongside a Contract Management system, and with a planned go-

    live of April 2019, the candidate will immediately join the project implementation team to help drive the project forward to completion and plan for the post-implementation role.

    Following the launch of Workday Financials it is expected that Workday HCM will follow shortly thereafter, and as such the Corporate Systems Lead will be expected to have, or build, a level of expertise in this module to ensure adequate support across the platform alongside other team members.

    About You

    You will be an experienced Workday professional, with experience of implementation, configuration and support of Workday Financials.

    You will be able to immediately assimilate into the role and the in-flight project, to help drive the project forward and prepare the team for post go-

    live support, enhancements, product road-mapping, and future implementation of Workday HCM.

    In addition to Workday experience, you will be adaptable to be able to provide leadership on the support of other associated corporate and financial applications.

    You will possess team management skills to provide guidance and support to your direct report, and be able to forge relationships and ensure collaboration with your peers in the team to support cross-

    team co-operation and the enterprise road-map.
