Technical Surveyor Central Operations

An exciting vacancy has arisen for a qualified surveyor to join Central Operations to work in the PVQ / Cladding teams. Reporting to Calum McQueen, Technical Surveying Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to get involved in an evolving area of the business and make a real difference to the service we provide to our clients.

This is a home-based role but occasional national travel will be required including visits to the Kettering Office.

Your main responsibilities will include :

Assisting the TSM in running the cladding team and supporting the PVTQ and PVQ teams with the aim of reducing PVQ numbers and increasing the number of PVQs handled centrally

Resolving Technical Surveyor escalated PVQs

Developing and maintaining relevant guidance and training materials for internal colleagues in relation to PVQ responses

Reviewing PVQs, recording findings and providing a response to clients and internal colleagues

Maintaining and evolving the cladding database and associated projects

Keeping up to date with industry sentiment and policies in relation to the relevant aspects of risk, provided by bodies such as RICS, FIA and the DLUHC

Being familiar with Lender requirements (policy / guidance) on the reporting of cladding and fire risk-related matters, and ensuring that processes are updated accordingly by liaising with Risk and Governance, Field Operations and Lenders

Supporting the Technical Surveying Manager and other Central Operations functions as required

Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues, clients, suppliers and customers, and presenting a professional image at all times

Achieving operational excellence in all aspects of activities, processes and procedures undertaken and promoting a culture of high professional standards within e.surv

Promoting e.surv as part of the LSL Group through excellent customer care and communication, ensuring service turnaround and quality requirements are met on all occasions.

Knowledge, qualifications and expertise

Essential

An AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS qualification

Detailed knowledge of building construction

Knowledge of trends and emerging issues in residential surveying and valuation

Proven practical expertise in completing a wide range of valuation and survey instructions

Good time management skills

Proven experience of working as part of a team of remote and office-based staff

Experience of producing technical guidance for a wide audience of clients and internal stakeholders

Desire to improve the reputation and success of the business and a commitment to high professional standards

Demonstrable experience in promoting a culture of compliance within the business

Ability to occasionally deputise for the Technical Surveying Manager Central Operations
