Vistra Finance function is looking to recruit a Credit Control Lead for the UK. This is an an exciting time to join the function and Vistra to be apart of the rapid transformation and growth the business is going through.

The role sits within the UK finance team, and the role is responsible for the oversight of UK debt, being the key point of contact for the SSC O2C team supporting UK clients.

Along with the responsibilities outlined below, the position will also play a key role in transitioning credit control activity across the UK offices to the shared service centre(s).

The successful candidate will work with senior stakeholders and as well as being a key part of the central finance team the role with excellent visibility across the UK offices to ensure service heads are kept accountable for their client debtors.

Key responsibilities :

  • Oversight of UK debt policy, process and activity, acting as key onshore liaison for the offshore SSC O2C team
  • Act as central onshore contact for complex debt issues arising in the UK
  • Managing complex key accounts, including managing and allocating debit notes, rebates and discounts.
  • Work with internal legal teams / external debt recovery teams to ensure aged debt recovery
  • Ensure offshore Credit Control department interacts well with customers and departmental colleagues, and follows and adopts UK credit control best practice & procedures
  • Chasing outstanding debt via telephone, e-mail and resolve queries where required for key accounts
  • Handle incoming Credit Control calls and queries which have not being directed to SSC
  • Building and maintaining successful working relationships with SSC
  • Work with finance team to provide monthly debtor review information, and month end reporting packs for Group
  • Work with Group Financial Controller to continuously improve processes within Credit Control
  • The role will also assist with the ERP project, ensuring a smooth transition to the new systems while ensuring minimal disruption to the credit control function
  • Relevant skills and experience :

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • At least 3+ years of direct Credit Control experience that must include the knowledge of complex account management and credit risk management.
  • Commercially astute
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise workload
