As Civil Team Leader on some of the most interesting Hydro-Electric schemes in this country, you’ll report directly to the station manager, leading a team to undertake all of the critical civil focused inspections, maintenance and project work.
You’ll manage the preventative maintenance plan for the sites’ civil assets including large dams, tunnels, pipelines, bridges, station buildings, concrete structures, roads, etc and support the sites compliance and governance, provide expert technical input, act in roles of authority such as competent person / authorised person and work sponsor.
You’ll manage civil related projects, writing specifications, reviewing tenders, managing procurement and overseeing contractors.
You’ll be responsible for all Civil works management on the sites and be expected to set a good example of quality of work, house-
keeping and technical excellence in all work. Your responsibilities will mainly cover the Galloway Scheme but also support for the Lanark scheme.
To hit the ground running, you’ll need good knowledge of civil engineering principles, legislation and standards and have experience working in the civil engineering industry, overseeing civil works.
You’ll need to have a good academic grounding and have an ONC or higher in civil engineering or related subject. You’ll be ready for a new challenge, and keen to bring your knowledge of design, contracts, and management to a new opportunity.
