A Supported living service based in Alford, Surrey is looking for a Support worker to support adults with complex Autism and challenging behaviour.

As a Support worker , you will be there to provide the best quality of care and person-centred support.

The ideal Support worker will have experience in Autism and complex needs and can act as role models and mentors to those they support with a positive 'can do' attitude!

Shifts patterns :

  • Early shift 7 : 00am - 2 : 30pm
  • Midday 9 : 30am - 17 : 00pm
  • Late shift 2 : 00pm - 21 : 30pm
  • Long day 7 : 00am - 21 : 30pm

  • Responsibilities for you as the Support worker :

  • As a support worker you would participate in multiple activities such as taking people shopping, cinema and bowling.
  • Personal care - supporting service users with daily needs such as brushing teeth, bathing and getting dressed.
  • Documenting - keeping records as well as conducting heath and safety checks.
  • Supporting service users' development - helping to express emotions, develop communication and how to reduce challenging behaviour.
  • Requirements for you as the Support Worker :

  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable
  • Mandatory Training including : Safeguarding Adults, Medication administration and first aid
  • Experience in supporting adults with Autism and other learning disabilities
  • Encouraging and supportive attitude
  • Location : Linden Farm, Rosemary Lane, Alfold, Cranleigh, GU6 8EU
