Provide detailed technical radiological advice to internal and external clients in a variety of sectors
Develop and grow RSK Radiological client base and service delivery
Production of technical documents including local rules, radiation risk assessments, dose assessments and ALARP assessments as required by Ionising Radiation regulations 2017
External audits to ensure client adherence with radiological compliance programmes
Ensure client compliance with Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 and conditions of environmental permits
Radiological monitoring of client sites and facilities
Advise clients on Controlled and Supervised Areas
Conduct emergency response and investigations
Delivery of bespoke training to internal and external clients
Liaise with regulatory bodies where necessary (e.g. HSE / EA / SEPA / NRW / ONR)
Support and mentor the growth of junior staff in their progression to RPA status
Person specification :
A strong focus on health & safety
Minimum of 3 years’ experience at RPA level (preferred)
RPA 2000 certified
Radioactive Waste Adviser certified or working towards submission of portfolio
BSc and / or MSc degree in related scientific or engineering field
Ability to write technical reports in a consistent and timely manner
Full clean driving licence as travel will be required
Happy to work across the UK from time to time to suit business needs
Salary and benefits :
Salary commensurate with experience OTE £40,000 - £55,000
