We are looking for a talented digital communicator to play a key role in our efforts to engage racing fans, sports fans and day-
outers’, working with some of the most famous assets in Britain’s second biggest spectator sport. The Jockey Club is one of the UK’s leading leisure companies, staging several of the nation’s biggest events, including the Randox Health Grand National, The Cheltenham Festival and The Investec Derby Festival.

The Content & Social Media Manager will play a central role formulating and delivering the next stage of The Jockey Club’s digital content and communications strategy to bring to life the racing experience and foster the communities so essential to the future of the sport.
You will hold day-to-day responsibility for managing The Jockey Club’s central digital media channels, including social media platforms and the relevant sections of its website and app, supported by the Group Content & Social Media Executive, alongside the Group Digital Marketing Manager and as part of the wider Group Communications Team.
Develop and deliver a Group Digital Content Strategy covering platforms, themes & content, working as part of the Group Communications Team and alongside the Group Marketing team Work with Marketing teams across the Group to deliver digital content that complements their marketing strategies Support, mentor and share best practice with all relevant persons within the Group including Digital Marketing Executives Manage Group reputation on controlled digital and social media platforms, working with the Group Head of Media and Group Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications, including in times of crisis Monitor relevant social media activity, trends and emerging digital platforms Develop strong and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders Oversee adherence to the Group’s social media policy Effectively manage a digital communications budget An understanding of horseracing and passion for sport in general A proven track record and passion for digital communications, including extensive knowledge and experience of engaging a range of audiences online, building social communities and driving behaviour Adept at creating a range of content formats across a range of digital platforms An eye for detail to ensure all content is accurate and meets brand standards Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with evidence of favouring a collaborative approach A proven track record of building relationships and gaining buy-
in from colleagues who are not direct reports and in other business functions A can-do and positive attitude, with a relentless commitment to succeed The role is based in The Jockey Club’s Head Office in Holborn, London, and within the Group Communications Team.
You will work closely with the Group and Regional Marketing Teams and report into the Group Head of Media. The closing date for applications is 17th March 2019.
