The RoleWe’re looking for a SEO Content Manager who will be able to help;Research and Define SEO Initiatives
Uncover opportunities for Perlego to acquire customers through organic search and craft clear strategic documents from your research.
Ability to work with product teams to establish exactly what is needed to make your initiatives a reality.
Help establish all content opportunities available to Perlego.
Topic & Keyword Research
Map topics and the keywords associated with those topics to content we can create.
Research problems our potential customers are trying to solve.
Experience researching how other websites are using content, SEO, PR and marketing to generate traffic and acquire users.
Able to source, hire and manage subject matter experts to write content for the topics you have identified.
Ability to write a content brief that is clear, concise and clearly linked to your initiative.
Experience of writing, formatting, layout design and editing of content received from writers.
Able to create content to engage and educate our potential customers.
Testing & Site Optimisation
Testing to improve content keyword rankings, engagement and conversion.
Experience with, or desire to learn CRO software to optimise the content you have published.
Ability to take ownership of updating content with additional keywords / topics that might have been attributed to the content by Google (what is the content ranking on page 2 for, what can we add to the guide to bring those rankings up).
Find opportunities for internal linking to your content, and where your content can link to on the website.
Title tag research and experimentation.
Meta description research and experimentation.
Measure the impact of your initiatives and clearly explain what has been achieved to the wider business.
Create data studio dashboards to track performance of the content that you have created (we can teach you how to use data studio if you are unfamiliar).
Identify websites whose audiences would benefit from the content you have created.
Find websites that have linked to content similar to the content you are creating and outreach to these websites with the content you have created.
This is not a Digital PR role, there will be a freelance outreach specialist supporting outreach. This would be a secondary activity.
Experience with SEO tools and a CMS.
You have good SEO and content marketing knowledge.
Experience with digital publishing and marketing.
Managed content for a website or self-published on your own website.
Don’t need to be a developer, but can do some HTML and CSS.
Diligent and detail oriented.
You’re up to date with the latest news and trends in SEO
High standard of work, but not a perfectionist who is hesitant to ship.
You can manage your time and prioritise what needs to be done.
Can work collaboratively and handle receiving feedback.
Desire to learn and experiment.
Not fully satisfied with your current skills and want to add to them.
Can optimise for users and bots.
Data driven, you are extremely comfortable with spreadsheets and working with data sets.
You know Google Search Console, and Ahrefs like the back of your hand and know how to extract value from these tools.
