Department : Adults, Communities and Prevention Terms and Conditions : 1 x Permanent, 37 hours per week Grade G, £28,672 to £32,234 per annum to Grade H, £32,910 to £36,922 per annum Due to the growth of our Occupational Therapy Service, we are delighted to be looking for enthusiastic and dynamic Occupational Therapists to join us.

Described as an excellent service, we are a friendly, well- supported team with great levels of morale. We invest in supporting our teams to grow through monthly and ad-hoc’ supervision provided by the OT Lead, including joint case working when required.

Our contribution to the Councils aim of supporting independent living in the community is well recognised. We also offer flexible working including being home and office based.

We serve a diverse community in the heart of Pennine Lancashire, providing specialist equipment and adaptations, as part of the Independent Living Service - which also includes Moving and Handling, Major Adaptation Surveyors, Telecare and Sensory Impairment teams.

Key tasks include Home assessments and intervention planning. Joint working with social care, health, housing and third sector colleagues.

Design of disabled adaptations in conjunction with our designated surveyors. Assessment for complex equipment in particular specialist seating.

Report writing for adaptation and special equipment panels. Re-housing advice and support. Adaptation check visits including outcome measures.

Potential supervision of Review and Assessment Officer or other appropriate staff. Although we are advertising for Occupational Therapists, there is an opportunity for newly qualified candidates to progress.

Working with physical disabilities, across a range of specialities may also be considered. The remuneration offered for the successful candidates with be appropriate to the level of experience you have.
