About the Opportunity :

As part of the London based Technology team, the Director will be responsible for leading a team that manages projects associated with data conversion, data manipulation and developing process automation to assist our clients with their technology and eDiscovery needs.

Primary Duties :

  • Liaise with consultants and project managers regarding client requests and manage expectations
  • Manage existing technical team to ensure document productions meet the production requirements, and delivered on time
  • Utilise industry standard and bespoke software for data analytics, data manipulation and document production tasks
  • Utilise knowledge of technology to advise and support our consultants and external clients
  • Proactively identify improvement areas in existing workflows. Develop tools and scripts to improve automation and reliability
  • Manage team efforts to apply analytical skills and leverage existing methodologies to various client situations and practice disciplines and create novel customised solutions to meet shifting client needs
  • Assume responsibility for day-to-day data processing, conversion, analysis, quality control, import, and other specialised tasks including interaction with other consultants, supervisors, and client personnel
  • Co-ordinate closely with colleagues within and across teams to manage the delivery of client requirements
  • Be customer-service-oriented to meet client deadlines, including working out of business hours when necessary
  • Travel as required to ensure effective management of case activities. (Minimal notice possible)
  • Collaborate with data centre operations teams to create support documentation
  • Education and Qualifications :

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent), ideally in a technology related or numerate subject
  • Skills and Competencies :

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows and related software, especially Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and MS SQL Server
  • Experience :

  • Strong knowledge and execution of data manipulation tasks, data conversion and data analysis activities in a SQL environment
  • Strong ability to create and understand Microsoft SQL Server scripts and stored procedures
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, SQL Reporting Services, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure data centres
  • Solid experience working in an e-Discovery or technology related role
  • Knowledge of and experiencing in configuring and operating either Ringtail or Relativity as a document review management application
  • Experience with other document review management applications such as Concordance, Summation or Introspect
  • Familiarity with personal computer and server hardware, operating systems and software
  • Electronic discovery experience
  • Experience supporting document review software applications
  • Familiarity with processing and converting chat data (Bloomberg Chat, Reuters Chat, Skype)
  • Familiarity with processing and converting mobile device data extractions (Cellbrite or Oxygen Forensics extractions)
  • Experience with programming languages (C#) and data analytics software (Tableau) is desirable
