London E14Job DescriptionThe role of Director of Business Development is to identify and execute a comprehensive business strategy in the commercial and government markets in the UK, other EU countries, and the rest of Europe.

TRSS International’s focus is to develop and deliver customized service offerings for clients around risk identification and mitigation using the broad suite of Thomson Reuters’ data, proprietary technology, third-

party data as appropriate, and subject matter experts. This role will require skills and knowledge related to working within a team environment, open source data / public records, technology and data analytics, sales, and relationship building.

This role will report to the Senior Director for Business Development, and work in tandem with the Director of Operations, TRSS International, Ltd, in developing and implementing an international business strategy.

This role is in London, United Kingdom.Major Responsibilities : Design and implement a business strategy to expand TRSS International, Ltd’s footprint in the UK and broader European commercial and government marketAttain assigned sales and revenue account goalsProvide high quality program / project management, account management, and customer support services to assigned accountsAssist with the development, negotiation, proposal writing, presentation, and implementation of custom solutions and contractsEstablish solid, long-

term customer relationships and cultivate new business opportunities by diagnosing needs, presenting solutions, and addressing customer concernsPartner with other Thomson Reuters business units to facilitate new sales, and actively identify third party data, technology, and services as potential business partners.

Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree requiredMinimum of 15 years of government or commercial sales experienceInternational business development experience in the UK and EU.

Strong, direct knowledge of and experience with TRSS LLC’s (US) solutions and capabilitiesWorking knowledge of sales concepts, methods, and techniquesAmbitious self-

starter with high energy and motivationExcellent communication, presentation, and closing skillsEffective time management skillsGovernment and commercial account management and marketing experience requiredGovernment or commercial program / project management strongly preferredPublic records / open source data and technological solutions experience strongly preferredAbility to travel to sales training, meetings, and to customer locationsCustomer service orientation and experienceProficient in MS Office / internetPhysical Requirements : Must be willing to relocate to London, United KingdomMust be able to travel to customer locations and company meetings (car, train, air travel)Able to carry company materials (to include laptop, marketing material, etc.
